About Us
At Thoby's Driving School, we believe learning to drive should be a calm, supportive experience — not a stressful one. Based in the heart of Orlando, we've spent over a decade helping students of all ages get behind the wheel with the skills and self-assurance they need.
Whether you're a teenager earning your first license, a parent enrolling their child, or an adult who's never sat in the driver's seat, our patient, DMV-certified instructors tailor every lesson to your pace and comfort level.

What We Offer
From the classroom to the road, every program is designed to take you from nervous beginner to confident, licensed driver.
Start from zero. Learn vehicle controls, road rules, and the fundamentals of safe driving in a structured, pressure-free environment.
Meet Florida's requirements with our teen driver education program. Includes classroom instruction and behind-the-wheel training.
Back behind the wheel after a break? We help adults rebuild confidence and sharpen skills for today's roads.
Practice on the exact routes your DMV examiner will use. We know what they're looking for — and how to help you pass.
Learn to drive stick with a dedicated instructor. Essential if you plan to drive a manual or want full driving freedom.
We come to you. Lessons begin at your home, school, or any convenient Orlando location — no extra hassle.
Why Thoby's
Every lesson is private — no group sessions, no split focus. Your instructor is there entirely for you.
Our cars are equipped with dual brakes and mirrors, giving your instructor the ability to keep you safe at all times.
We don't yell. We don't rush. If you're nervous, that's okay — we've seen it all and we go at your speed.
Our students consistently pass their road tests on the first attempt, thanks to targeted practice on DMV routes.
"I was terrified of driving before I found Thoby's. By my third lesson, I felt comfortable. By the time I took my road test, I was confident I'd pass — and I did on the first try."
